The two main components of the programme are the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) and the Vocational Education programmes. The WPLN programme was implemented to develop the students’ reading and listening proficiencies in English, as well as arithmetic capabilities. It involves assessing the students’ current competency level in these areas and determining suitable levels of training to promote effective learning on their part. The Vocational Education Programme covers vocational guidance, work experience as well as social skills, aiming to prepare students for work life.
