Angklung
Started in Year 2003 as a co-curricular activity, Angklung is now one of the main items in our performing arts curriculum. Led by Mrs Emily Tseng, the pupils have since put up many performances, including Community Chest’s Truehearts in Year 2004 as well as the Education Trust Fund/Metta Charity Banquet that was held in Suntec City Convention Hall on 2 April 2005.

Guitar/Ukelele
The guitar group was formed in 2003 when the guitars were donated during President Charity Show organized by Metta Association. At the beginning of each year, students who are interested in music would join the guitar group on either Wednesday or Friday during Performance Visual Art (PVA).

Pottery
Pottery classes first started out as a co-curricular activity in year 2003. At present, the classes have been conducted as a Performing Visual Art by a team of dedicated teachers from Metta School. Individual classes are held on every Wednesday and Friday. The duration for each session is 2.15 hours. Currently, the total enrolment for both am and pm session stands at 64.

Batik Painting
Batik painting is one of Metta School’s signature visual arts programme. In this programme, students are not only taught in the process of making batik painting art, but most importantly they learn other useful skills like responsibility for own work area, safety while handling equipment, simple first aid and fine motor skills.

Mosaic Art
Mosaic is a type of art using small pieces of tile or other materials stuck onto a base to create an overall design. It is different from collages, as mosaics create a larger image using smaller pieces, whereas collages do not necessarily create an overall picture.

Gamelan
Since its inception in February 2004, the Metta School Gamelan ensemble has mastered a repertoire which includes modified classical and improvised ethnic scores .Our Gamelan ensemble has put up several public performances over time.

Art & Craft
Art, is important in providing a well-rounded education. It plays a large part in making our lives infinitely rich. Art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. For some people, art is the entire reason they get out of bed in the morning. You could say "Art is something that makes us more thoughtful and well-rounded humans."

Metta School Choir
Metta School started our choir group in 2006. It was initiated by a group of students who are greatly interested in singing. They approached a teacher to request that a choir be included in the school's PVA programme. Initially, there were only about eight enthusiastic members, and they started showing their talents in various performances in school and other corporate functions.

Metta School Chinese Orchestra
The Metta School Chinese Orchestra was founded in 2003 and currently has about 50 members, including both Chinese and Malay pupils. It is a platform for our students to get in touch with the various Chinese Orchestra instruments such as erhu, dizi, ruan, yangqing, double bass, cello, and percussion.

C Programme
